Bill's a great guy. Came up from Virginia to visit friends and decided to head up my way for an hour or so. Took him to a local dealer that claims to have 100 vettes. They had a 54' there, not too many c4's, collector's edition, 1 new z06 used asking $80,00 He has a nice yellow LT4 coupe.
Yep - you're right on target about Bill. He provided a reasonable, kind, and knowledgeable listening post when I was running around with a very high "must purcase a Corvette NOW" fever last year.
He has an open invitation to stay in NW Illinois anytime he's up here - I'm hoping to get him to come for the BG show in June sometime.
Gee, guys, I'm just now getting ready to leave the Great State of RI and I read this. Thought, better read it--it's got my handle in it. Thanks a bunch for all the kind words.
I have to tell you tho, Justin (sonomacrew) has one heckuva setup at his place. Not to mention the fact that both my friend and I were deeply impressed with him, and his car. Truly, I'd say not just for giggles, if you happen to get up this way to Rhode Island, you'd be doing yourself a favor to see if you can stop and chat with sonoma for a while.
It's a treat, and I mean that. Thanks a lot Justin for being around and showing me the area! Hope you make it down my way one of these days in that ruby almost-"stock" '93!!! It sounds "bad", it looks good, and goes great with the top down!!!!
finally got around to posting a picture. Bill, we forgot to get a picture of the 2 lined up...
Bill, since yesterday was the first drive after the tune, I did notice something worng. The car doesn't let mego into 5th after 40mph. So on the highway, I have to shift it into 5th prior to 40. I was on 295 yesterday cruizing along... 2nd to 35, 3rd to 45, 4th to 50 or so and What the Hell, it wouldn't let me shift into any gear. I had to pull over and slow down to 30 to get it into 5th. Meanwhile, I wasn't paying attention to the rode and crunch, drove over a blown truck tire.I'm sure Imay have a week of debugging.

I have to agree with all of you . He has helped me on more then 1 occasion . From buying a car to how to use a K&N Filter . He has even called me to help walk me through the buying experience . He also has a open invitation to stay @ my place if he's ever in the VT area .
That's the first time I've seen a pic of his car. Damn, it's perfect! I had been thinking if I was lucky enough to come across a yellow car when I'm out shopping, that grey A-Molds would look really great. And now I know they do!
I might have to bug him for some hi-res pix for my desktop!

Hmm, that is mighty strange.....wonder what it could be that'd stop you from going into fifth gear?? Hmmmm....thinking cap on (but lights are probably out.. ).
Any way, you're right, Justin, I didn't get any real pictures of our two cars together!!!!! I got one that's kind of 'artsy' -- don't ask me what made me do it. Silly. Here it (two) is/are:
And here's what I call a tough looking shot of sonomacrew's car:
Bill is a good man, and a friend. His Comp Yellow LT4 is a stunning specimen. Looks even better in person than in photos.
Now I just hope that the next time I see him, his head hasn't swelled up too much from all this praise. He might have to drive with the targa removed all the time!
