Interior light delay problem fixed!
With the key out, when i closed the door, the interior lights started flashing.
It drained the battery several times before i figured it out.
It was a bad interior light delay switch!
GM does not make or sell a replacement!
If this ever happens to you or if you wish to do away with the 30 light delay and do not want to start cutting and splicing wires.....
There is a fix!
I purched a by pass relay from Corvette Central, which replaced the interior light delay switch. ( no need to cut and splice wires...I just pluged it in!)
My interior light delay switch got so hot that it fried like chicken!
I removed the burnt delay relay, which Gm does not make or sell anymore, and pluged in the new relay.
With the new relay, there is no 30 second delay.
When the door is closed, the light goes off right away.
If I ever find a working GM interior light switch, I can unplug the by pass relay and plug in the GM one.....
But I think I will just keep the new bypass relay.....
I like it!
