Evidently the previous owner of my '89 DD delayed too long before replacing the rubber protectors in the passenger side door. Result is a series of annoying scratches in the window. Any of you wizards know how and what'll buff out those scratches in the side window? Thanks in advance for the help, Bill
I used the buffing kit available from Eastwood on my scratched windshield and it worked great. The scratches on that were very light, so I'm not sure how well it would work on deep scratches. They do, however, make a kit for both light scratching and deeper scratches.
I used this and it works good. Even on DEEP scratches. 8 ounces is plenty.
I just ordered this kit that you recomended. I hope it works as good as you say it does. It was 19.99 for the kit & $8+ for the shipping but it will be well worth it if it works. The scatches on my side windows are really annoying the heck out of me. Thanks for the tip.

I have similar scratches on my side windows and would greatly appreciate it if you post your results when you get around to trying this product. Thanks
I have heard that something called jeweler's rouge is supposed to work well on this. I have some scratches in the windshield of one of my vehicles, but I haven't gotten around to trying this method.
I have been told if you removed such scratches then it will make the window appear blurry and distorted. Not sure what would be more annoying. Pls post results when you are finished.. because I would like to avoid purchasing new glass of I can.

Likewise, and I have heard the same although it may not be that bad on door windows like it would be on the windshield. If the scratches are deep, and removing that much material, I can't see how it would not be somewhat distorted.
Please post results
