Default Is C4 General interested?

I'm curious as to what you all think?

If a very well known vendor for our vehicle products on the forum is not living up to their claims and boast about stickler's for quality and they shipped obviously defective products, then ship a second defective product and are not responding to new product warranty claims, is anyone interested in knowing about this?

Or is messages like that just regarded simply as an individual issue and shouldn't be posted?

I've been debating on whether to mention this or not, considering after many searches here and reading so many good reports and never any bad reports on this vendor. It is utterly shocking to me the treatment from their sales department (sales also serves as customer service) and absolutely no reponses from anyone in management there.

So should I mention this or just keep my mouth shut and continue to deal with the situation?

I'm not giving hints as to whom it may be. I've been debating this for a couple weeks now and cannot decide what I should do. I can say I'm certainly frustrated and very disappointed in this vendor.

If it's true, and all avenues have been exhausted, it's time to go public.

I still remember the cluster**** that was the Breathless air intake thingy... ohmygod. Every post that was made was locked. Ernie could not fix them fast enough (the plastic was woefully too weak) - even if he wanted to.... and at the time, people were questioning if he was going to/wanted to. It was ugly. And all the while, it has all the appearences of the Forum protecting the vendor. Very poor business.

Breathless did resolve it, AFAIK.

Give them one last courtesy call. Ask for the general manager and explain the problem, then explain that you are a member here and about to post the facts/results. Stay with the facts. If not resolved then we all need to know as well so as to avoid replication of the problem.

Thats what this forum is for "information", honest and correct. You need to contact Mojo for his thoughts or this won't go to far.

I would urge you to share the name. If anything it gives us more information on whether to patronize this supllier or not. It is no different than us (CF members) sharing successes that we have experienced at good shops/suppliers!

I tend to agree with the majority. Isn't this what this forum is for? Helping, assisting each other. We should be protecting each other, not the manufacturers. I, for one, would like to know.

I agree with going public, though I don't know what the forum rules are here. I like things straight forward. I'm in favor of praising a good experience as much as I am of bringing attention to a bad one. As long as everything's factual. And it doesn't sound like you have a case of sour grapes, based on your initial post.

Generally speaking and it's only my opinion, but.....I believe any forum or group that would shield a paying vendor for not living up to a warranty or obligation loses any kind of respect or credibility with me.

I would want to know.
I have stated facts before, both good and bad, regarding quality/fitment of different parts I have purchased. Parts for these cars are fairly expensive and no-one want s to go through additional problems.
I believe it is all in the way it is stated.

Perhaps forwarding this warning to a respective manager. If it does not get you results, then yes, you should let us all know who we should avoid. But in fairness to the company in question, give them a warning.

While awaiting official ruling ....Some Questions come to mind...

Are they really stECKLERS for quality?
Could it be that they are just the MIDdlemen and not their fault?
One needs to understand what is CENTRAL to the issues?
If we call them on it is the JEG up?

Know what I mean, Vern?

Inquiring minds want to know !!!!
