First time pulled over!
Last night I finally got pulled over in the vette. I was on the last main street before getting home from dinner with my girl. I just kind of gassed it while straighening out... ya know so it was kind of sideways... kinda spinning the tires... kinda the whole block.
Anyway, he raced up to me and blooped. First words out were, "So it IS tuned I can see."
He asked me like three times if i had nitrous.
When I said of course not, he replied, "so these come with roll bars stock then?" 
So I just said, "No. I need it for when I go to the track. It's got the big harness belts too."
Basically, he said, "Exhibition of speed is a pretty big ticket... don't do it again in Mountain View".
This car is a whole different thing than being pulled over in the Probe. I get harassed being 18 no matter what, but it's usually about drugs or drinking. In this car, it seems like he was interested in it. He also asked about insurance, what I used to drive, whatever else and finished it up by nodding over my girl and saying, "From everything I've heard, at least I can see you have good taste".

I have never been pulled over in the Vette (owned it now for a year), but I had the Ferrari (Sig-pic) from age 16-20 and got pulled over several times for nothing... just to talk about the car.. only once was I ever given a ticket in the Ferrari... for NOTHING! (claimed I was speeding when I certainly wasn't -- Though I won in court as the officer that showed up admitted to not making the judgement call himself -- fishy eh?). Every cop is different.... Though our experiences seem to prove against the popular belief that sports cars are ticket magnets... The rice-burners however... cops hate those.

ive been pulled twice in the Vette. only one ticket. the one i talked my way out of was like what happened to you.

I got pulled over when I was test driving my Vette, and I was only 5 MPH over the limit. Turns out the previous owner didn't have current plates or insurance on it. 
In the future I'm going to check that before test driving a car.

I didn't get pulled over but was stalked twice tonight. I was entering a s hole town going 55 mph because this town Grady Arkansas, is notorious for writing tickets. There out 24/7. Anyway besides from the radar going off he did a U and rode my **** for 5 miles. I've gone thru that town 10,000 times and never had this experience. He never did flash the blues and he turned around when we got to the city limits.
I got to this other s hole of a town called Gould Arkansas. There just as notorious for writing tickets as well. There both in the Delta if you will. I was all by myself when entering going 45 mph when this cop busted a hard U to only to ride my **** again. At this point I was getting nervous because something just ain't right. After 3 miles going 40 mph because that's the speed limit he turned around also. I guess they were just checking out the Vette is the only conclusion I can come up with.

Where was it in Mt. View...on El Camino?
For you to be sideways, and just straightening it out you had to have had it really hooked up for a short while.
At least you got off on just a warning. Thats good news.

Just yesterday I dodged a ticket myself. Ironically it was in the middle of a lefthand turn. Everyone got out of the way for the ambulance coming while I was half in the intersection. So the light's green for traffic to go and once the ambulance passed, I just continued making the turn. Anyway, 3 cop cars were there at the light going the opposite way (one of em was makin the turn but parked in an awkward position to let the ambulance get through). Immediately one of em flashed the lights, makes a hard U obviously to get me and is ironically blocked from the third cop who obviously was eatin a donut or somes***...clueless to the situation. Anyway, immediately on comes traffic after I finished the left and shuts out piggy boy. I swiftly course through lanes after I see him trying to get through and lose his azz ahead of traffic with the newly ambulance-blazed path. Not an outrun so to say, but funny to say the least. I doubt he even got the plate with all the traffic mess.

hi there guys,
iv been pulled over once for running/amber,nearly red trafic light!
the cop was a trafic cop as well!
i got fined $175.00 aus dollars!
luckily he didnt check over the 1991 vette as i have a pollution pump elimnator kit ,plus it is lowered 3" all the way around and sits nice and low now!
traffic cops here in my city are real c*nts!
they always pick on hot/modded up cars for any thing and give the driver/car a defective or unroadworthy yellow sticker glued to windscreen and then you have to spend money at rwc "road worthy place to clear defect!
a real pain in the bum!
bloody cops!
we call them "pigs" here in australia!
