Default Winter storage issues

I have an '89 coupe. When the salt hits the road, the car cover goes on. I start it about every 2 weeks from November till March. My question is this: My battery seems to drain unusually fast. In the very cold, it will be dead in a week. It is a new battery. I do not have any open circuits that I could find that would be draining it. Seems awfully quick for a battery to go dead. I have a buddy that does the same thing and he can jump in and fire it up after a month of cold storage.
Any comments, suggestions, solutions?
Thanks

Mine did the same. Get a battery tender and hooked her up. You won't have that problem again. I even do it in the warm months when I leave her parked for a few days. Just hook it up and you are good to go.

Aww man, don't bring up Winter storage, I'm having too much fun right now.

Yeah, get the tender. These cars are doing a lot of things electrically just parked. Their brains are always working, unlike mine.

Get the trickle charger, I've had one on my 69 Camaro for 11 years now on the same battery
