That's R8C, R9G is the World Challenge RPO.

Did you buy it from Lance? The Miller family has quite a few of them.

More info from Corvette Enthusiast:

R9G debuted 2/7/90, it gave you Z51 springs and FX3 and also allowed the buyer to buy another L98 assembled by Chevy's Raceshop(formerly Chevrolet Special Products)

Race teams were responsible for doing the engine swap.

R9G was only available up till 2/16/90.

Only 23 went out the door.

damn. I hate it when the RPOs are so close... my bad.

Wow... World Challenge. That's one hot ride.

There is an article in this months issue of Corvette Magazine. Should help define the car for ya.

Eh, it's just true Z51 springs with FX3. It's not that big a deal. Now, if the race motor was there, too, then it'd be a big deal.

Edit: Don't get me wrong, the 1990 is a mighty fine ride in its own right.

I know that the 88-89 World Challenge cars had their engines built at the Flint, MI engine plant, sealed up and shipped off to Bowling Green for installation in these cars. Would be interesting to see the specs of these motors to see if they can be duplicated. Apparently the '90 car could be ordered with or without the motor.
