Targa Top

1996 CE. Can the frame of the fiberglass targa top be straightened? Mine is warped (tree fell across it!) and was wondering if straightening is possible and cheaper than a replacement.

If it can be straightened, I don't think it will ever fit correctly (rattles, squeeks). But, it's worth a try because a new top isn't cheap. JMO

Well, the targa top is only warped, but the windshield is gone along with the top of the windshield frame AND the left rear door post (strike) is pretty mangled. Still rolls and runs though! I guess I'll get a top from Dino.

Will an '86 C4 top fit the '96? Are the bolt locations the same?
