Default Replacing Water Pump, Quick ???

Ok, I've prepping the new water pump to go into the car but I can get this sensor off the old pump. Can someone give me the "correct" name and maybe a possible OEM part number in case I'm not able to get this one off.

I've got a free round of virtual beers for the answer...

Thanks!!!!

I'm hoping that one of the parts houses here in town will have one if I can't get this one off.

As promised...

wrw7255 is correct, but be aware that the LT1/LT4 engine has two temp sensors, so if you're requesting a new one at the parts counter, be sure they know it's the one in the pump that you need.

The sensor in the pump feeds Engine Coolant Temperature info to the ECM, which uses it for engine management as well as to drive the digital temp readout on your Instrument Panel.

The other sensor (in the cylinder head) feeds the analog ECT gauge on your IP.

Be well,

SJW

I found that out the hard way. I didn't know the difference and neither did the parts puller at Advance Auto Parts. Luckily for me Central Auto Parts were a bit more knowledgeable and were able to get me the right one. I'll be putting it in tonight if all goes well.

Thanks again guys for all of your help. Hopefully tonight I'll get the Vette fired up and all will be well.
