Default Code 32 and more

A couple weeks ago, while cruising along the service engine soon light came on. It stayed on until I parked it. The next day it wasn't on anymore and I hooked up my scanner and it brought up the code 32. Egr valve problem. I haven't had the time to properly check it by the book and but the light hasn't come on again. Is this something that can wait?
I found out the hard way that my fuel gauge was wrong and ran out of gas. Put gas in it and it started right up, but 2 days later it wouldn't start. If the car sets for a week it doesn't want to start and acts like it is deiseling when you let off the key. I get a faint smell of gas and it finally starts. No other codes show up. Any ideas?
It is a 92 auto vert.
Thanks

The DTC will set once you reach 55 mph. It should just stay on for 3 minutes then go out.

Possible problem vacuum leak in vacuum harness or nipple, EGC solenoid valve, or EGR value. If you don't want to spend a lot of time, just replace them all new harness, solenoid and valve. Otherwises perform a vacuum check to isolate vacuum issues. Then its either solenoid or valve.
