I didn't use paint, I used a drill with a wire wheel. It got all the dirt off and made it shine.

Yeah probably mone too, I did not do that or those listed on that custom page. They are done by a retired friend of mine, he does a killer job, and for the money spent, and time saved I think it is a great deal IMHO.
This is the page that I meant to be using as a Take a LOOK at page:

Ron, those pics are insane! I can't even imagine the amount of work it would take to do that by hand.
Has anyone used anything to seal the surface once they've polished the plenum or runners? Or how about that factory finish, high heat paint that Ecklers (?) sells?
as I'm pulling the plenum next week

Sure, light beadblast, light coat of zincoxide primer and have at it.Dont have the parts sandblasted. The paint from Ecklers and all the other places doesnt look right.Find an auto paint store and go through there paint sample books and find a shade that works.

Mine's not much compared to the polished ones, but its a cleaned up stock unit.
I used simple green, engine degreaser and a toothbrush.
I repainted the valve covers using the paint that midamerica sells for it.
The problem is, when your done. The manifolds will look worse.
