For some reason the radio, climate control, and interior lights all went out. All the fuses are good, the looked fine when i pulled them but ended up replacing them. Is there a conection behind the dash that possibly connects all three?

On the 87 the 15 amp ctsy/clk fuse supplies power to a lot of things including the interior lights, climate control, radio, footwell lights, cargo lights, courtesy light timer, etc. Check that fuse with an ohmeter and look at the condition of the fuse block clips for that fuse, they should be bright. With the fuse unplugged, one clip should have 12v on it, and if not, then you have a blown fusible link.
Do yourself a favor and have it checked out at the nearest auto electric and have a diagnostic check done. As some of you know I spent time and money looking for a problem and all it was was a short in the battery.
I'm not saying this is your problem but with a test they can figure out exactly what the problem is and save you time and $$$$$.
