my 95 LT-1 starting leaking oil with about 33000 miles, I couldn't exactly find where it is coming from but in my opinon it was not a bad leak and the oil was not down on the dip stick, well to make a long story short took it to a Chevy dealer for help now they say it has multiple leaks from the main seal, intakes etc but I disagree as the oil level isn't down that bad. any ideas would be great. thanks for your help
Get a Helm's FSM and start wrenching that joker yourself. A dye test is a good way to track down leaks.
Leak-prone spots on LT1s include the intake, timing cover seal, oil pan, oil filter housing adapter, rocker arm covers and oil temp sending unit, among other areas.

ok thanks my new winter project
ok to drive this way? winter is fast approaching maybe I'll just put her up
you definitely want to get under the car itself and see where it is coming from. I also have added Lucas Synthetic oil treatment to mine to help prevent leaks. This may help you in the short term, esp over the winter sitting months.
These engines are prone to leaks... you may have a number of real small ones that are adding up to one large one.
The top ten list of leak points, in no specfic order:
Rear main
Front timing cover
Front main
Opti seal
Waterpump seal
Intake
Oil Pan (both the gasket and the drain plug)
Oil Filter Housing
Rocker Covers (not the gasket failing, but the covers a bit loose)
Oil pressure sensor assembly
Degrease the engine from below - Simple Green and a hose - then add the dye and drive it! Once you get a few miles on it, you should be able to track where the oil is coming from.
Many of these seals will shrink with age, and will commense to leaking about the same time as if it had 140k miles on it.
