I've been thinking about dying my seats. The leather has a little wear for its age, but is just fine. They're graphite right now and i'm thinking about keeping them the same color or going to black.
I've never dyed leather so I have a few questions. For one, what is a good brand of dye to get? I've been told to buy SIMS, but cant find it anywhere. I did find Fiebings dye in 4 oz. bottles for $4 a piece.
Is leather dye affected by the sun? Will it fade or peel off? Does it just look bad?

Yes I know what you mean. That leatherique stuff looks like the way to go, but it is pricey. I'll save up some money and order it when I go to paint my car. Thanks
SEMS. It can be had at Neds auto body supply in Pittsburg, California. PM me if you want a #, maybe they ship...I drive by the shop every day. I'm sure that they aren't the only ones that carry it. I used it in my Vette to change seats from Silver to black and in my boat to go from dark brown to white. Coverage is very good. Product is available in quarts to spray with your own gun or in full size rattle cans at about 10 bucks a pop. Nice thing is it comes in different sheens. You don't want your seats shiny...Larry
