Wow.. I had this happen to me and my '90 coupe... after a couple weeks it was back to normal...
Maybe loose wiring/bad ground. There is a switch I hear, near the brake pedal. You can test it with a 12v battery but I cant remember wha they said to do, i'm sure they'll chime in soon
'90, convertible. Replaced the bulb, but still not working. All other lights work just fine.
Any ideas? TIA
Hey IRISH MAC......that problem is one common one on that year..it's the brake lite switch just over the pedal...you'll have to contort yourself to look under there but you can get the part for around $10 and install it with some difficulty if you're not too "bendable" like me.... that problem has been dealt with many times here on the forum. There are 2 contacts for this switch...one operates the regular rear lites and the other contact is just for the 3rd. lite. Good luck with the repair...................
