really bugging me now!
The car was showing a code 15, which has been solved with a replacement cold temp sensor. When hooked to a laptop the engine temp showed a permanent 40 degrees and went no higher..that's now fixed.
Whilst connected to the laptop, the rpm tickover shows approx 750, but the dash tacho shows 1500 - 1800 rpm!! And when i kick down hard the tacho goes past 5000 rpm, past 6000 rpm and off the clock.
I have been loooking for an earth problem hoping that the temp guage and tacho and cutting out are connected in some way.
NB The temp guage is now permanently off the scale..(as in hot hot hot) except the car is fine.
I have no codes showing at all now, but when holding the car in drive whilst waiting at a junction for eg, it tends to cut out..not all the time, i would say 60% of the time.
I'm stumped..and it's frustrating to say the least. Any ideas....anyone??
