rear view mirror light

Default rear view mirror light
This morning on the way to work it was dark, so on with the headlights, except that the map light on the rearview mirror, the smaller one on the right on my '88 stayed on the whole way in for some reason. Is this light sposed to go on when the headlights are on? I've never noticed this before at night.

Don't know about '88, but both my '93 and '95 have an amber/orangish light that lights the console area and it's always on when the headlights or parking lights are on.

There is also an additional map light with a switch on it.

Yup. At least mine does. It's an interior light that is connected to the headlights.

Jim

And yes, there is a separate map light and switch.

The little light is supposed to be on with the headlights.

It's on with the headlights on my 96 and also on the 87 I had. Sort of a "mood" light.

Mine shined on the rader detector, so i pulled the bulb and now have it on Ebay
