The shade just pops out by shifting it all the way to either side and then pulling on it - a bit of leverage with a small pry bar will help, but be careful - it's all plastic. This will NOT do you any good for getting to the Antenna, however. The antenna is reached/removed from under the quarter panel, it helps to take out the left rear inner fender and go in through the wheel opening..

Think of it as a giant toilet paper roller, remove it the same way you would the toilet paper roller. It's spring loaded.
You will need to remove it to gain access to the wiring for the antenna.
