what would a hard top for an 87 vert be worth?

there's a used one on e-bay for $800, that's low most of the time around $15-2k depending on condition, then you have to paint to match

I'm not sure whether you are buying or selling. Just remember. You will have to do some engineering to get it to fit. The 86-88 convertibles are not engineered for the 89-96 hardtops. You will have to buy the front and rear hardware and fabricate brackets for the side mounts. I have done this for an 87. If you need more info just PM me.
Edit: I would not pay over $1,000. You can get them for $500 to $1,000 but usually in the $800 range as stated. If you are buying then make sure the weatherstripping is good as it is very expensive to replace.
