Default scary when wet

I took the vette out for a long weekend ride. I thought I beat the weather but I got caught in traffic and it started to rain. Everything was fine and then all of a sudden the car started to jerk and skip. I didn't think it was going to make it and I pull in a rest stop.

Look under the hood but couldn't see anything wrong. I had recently put in a set of new blue max wires and plugs. the car was running great. I started up the car again and everything was fine. Drove for another 4 hours and again all OK. It was still raining. What is the deal? Could this be the beginning of opti spark time? I only had the car off for 10-15 minutes and it was normal.

Was the ASR Active light coming on? Sounds like traction control to me.

That is another thing that blew my mind. No lights came on! With all that hesitation and bucking and NO lights!!!!

Rain doesn't make the Opti behave like that for crying out loud! You'd have to drive through a river of water to drown it first.

Maybe the bulb for the ASR light is out. Leave the ASR on and try (like that's gonna be tough ) & break the tires loose. Does the ASR light come on?

Just tell the cop that you're doing a bulb safety check...lol
