Hello

Congratulations on your purchase and joining the best forum on the net!
First I would make sure that everything is in good working order. Completely flush and refill all fluids with synthetics. Clean out the area between the ac condenser and the radiator. Replace all filters and have a competent mechanic check your brakes and wheel bearings.
Then clean the throttle body and Idle Air Control. Replace the distributor cap and rotor, the spark plugs and wires. Replace your hoses and belts.
Check and set your timing. Get a new PCV valve and radiator cap.
Best modifications to make it run stronger are to install aftermarket aluminum heads, more agressive cam, long tube headers, high flow cat, low restriction mufflers. Then on to a higher stall converter and a lower rear end gear. You may want to go to a larger throttle body and port your TPI intake.
You will also need larger injectors and a reprogram/dyno tune of your chip.
Having said all that, it has now cost you more money than you paid for the car!
It probably would have been wise to buy one that already had all of this done to it in the first place. Many sellers have done mods to their C4 and will never recover their cost on resale. Most of these mods can be found by using the search feature on this and other forums such as www.corvetteactioncenter.com or www.c4guru.com
Good luck and have fun!

Spend the 1st year getting the car into shape.
After the 1st year you will know a lot more about your car and what you want to do with it.
Corvetteronw has the best advice. Get your car up to specs and do a good maintenence overview. You will probably be amazed how the car performs when it is up to factory. I have a 95 and when I did the general maintenence like wires, plugs, filters, clean out the space between the rad and condenser and put in highflow cats and a pair of Magnaflows the performance just blew my mind. It ran so much better in every way including gas mileage. Just a couple of more goodies for and I will be happy as a lark.
