Cooling problems resolved.
It all started here: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1497540.
I had replaced my water pump but was still getting a low coolant light. It turns out that the sensor in the bottom the of surge tank had gone south. Of course this sensor is part of the surge tank so I had to replace the entire unit (easy fix once you get the hose clamps off the hoses on the bottom
). After dropping the new tank in and burping the system, the Vette is staying at a happy 204° at idle. So this is for the Forum
. Thanks guys for all of your help. (Now it's time to tackle the headlight bushings
)
anyone know where this sensor is on an 89?
I am gung-ho into fixing all the little annoyances these days... im trying to get it back 100% reliable again
