If it is the first time you have tried it, keep them wet, so you can move them around to get the exact location you are looking for.

Wet, wet, wet....

Just applied 28 large AAA logo's on 14 tow trucks. A little dish soap and water in a squirt bottle is great. Have a small squeegee available for smoothing out and pushing bubbles to the edges ( a window tint application kit has these). You have compound curves to deal with on the fenders, but the vinyl does stretch in all directions. If you have an edge that keeps popping up (wrinkle) don't stress... as the adhesive dries it will become sticky and it will eventually lay down. Don't over-work it, just take your time.

Good Luck.

Jim

Put them on wet! this way you can align them just the way you
want. also use a squeege.start from the center and squeege out
once you have them centered right and have almost all the water
bubbles out use a hair dryer put on warm and squeege untill
nice and dry and no more bubbles , the hair dryer is for the hash
marks to stick better.
Hope this helps......Poncho

experienced or not, always do it wet if you are able to.
You can't calculate accidents into your work. If that thing falls out of your hand and sticks good, you risk creasing it, stretching/warping it, tearing it ,etc and then are out a set of stripes

Ive done vinyl graphics on a few cars before with some auto-graphics guys and even the pros that do it all day long do it wet.

I found its a good idea to do it wet on the C4 hash marks because it doesn't quite go over the side of the hood curve correctly, so once you take the backing off you will need to keep smoothing and repositioning it to get it just right.

its not hard, just requires a steady hand and a good eye.
Took me 10 mins to get mine on from start to finish.
I went in to wash up, and drove off 20 mins later. They look great!

You don't need to blowdry it either.
Just squeegie the water and bubbles out the best you can. as long as it is wet you can peel it back to get any bubbles out that wont leave or readjust it if you knock it loose out of place. Once it is dry, its on there. Use a soft cloth the finish brushing it down and then leave it alone for a bit until the water dries out and its stuck down good.

Just as an FYI: the set I got from Ecklers said 4 drops of liquid detergent (dish soap) to 1 pint water.

I put it in a small 1 pint spray bottle we got from walmart or somewhere for $.50.
