94 shift linkage
hi all new to the site
just trying to get some information!!
i recently bought a 94 vette 6speed. some one before me fooled with the shift linkage when they replace the motor and its sloppy as hell i guess the put a cotter pin in somewhere or something i dont really understand what they were talking about. but the dealership told me there are no pins its all one big shifter unit and its 1,100 bucks, can anyone point me in the right direction please!!!!!!!

My advice is to find another Vette with the ZF6, ask the driver of that car to take a look at your shifter...try it out...and see if it truly is bad.
You are a new C4 owner, perhaps you are used to the very precise shifter on a Honda? If so, then a normal ZF6 may seem, to you, to be "sloppy as hell".
"Hell" being a rather non-quantitative value, you aren't telling us much.
Put a dial indicator on it, take some readings at various ambient temperatures, and get back to us in the morning.
