Thanks for the leads Ron. Let's try these in my spreadsheet which factors exchange rate and importing costs (but not travel or shipping).
1. importing 93 green coupe with 89K miles asking usd$10500 is equivalent to paying a dealer here cdn$12300
2. importing 93 black coupe with 58K miles needing tires & clutch, asking usd$9500 equiv to paying dealer here cdn$11200
3. importing 93 white coupe with 97K miles asking usd$10000 equiv to paying dealer here cdn$11700
OK I understand these are asking prices only and maybe I could shave a grand off each, but is it really worth it to import vs. paying cdn$12000 for the 92 quasar coupe with 54K miles needing tires and antenna?
Despite my poll results saying the opposite, this is making me think grab the quasar one right here!
Don't play the horses do ya????????
Work on my laptop viewing auto sites, beer in hand, heckling my wife's Desparate Housewives and Gilmore Girls shows. I'm sure the rest of you are much different...
Anyway back to the car. I'm at $12K, he's at $12.5K, so we're in deal-making range. But I'm going off on business to AZ and never know what I'll find there.
Oh and redwing I'm going to Vegas next month but won't be doing much gambling.
Based on my experience with my '88 (my 1st Vette), I suggest you wait till a better deal comes along.
While in AZ, pick up a Phoenix newspaper and check out the many Vettes that are available in that area.

That's my angle
