Double Insurance???
All the C-4s recently damaged and being totaled, has caused me to be concerned that I could not begin to replace mine for what the rip off insurance companies would offer to pay.
Right now, I pay about $700/year for full coverage on mine in Florida. I have looked into a bunch of the 'classic' car insurers, like Grundy, etc. They all have thier limitations, but have one distinct advantage - agreed value coverage. They all seem to run about $300-400/year for $20,000 agreed value coverage. The thing that stops me is that these policies are only good for parades and club events and the like. But I believe in driving it as much as I can. So if I feel like going to the beach or whatever, I do not want to be limited. I don't use it for any work or school though.
So I was wondering if anyone ever had considered two policies - one traditional to cover general driving and a second for agreed value? I am sure that if you had two policies, the two companies would fight between themselves to see how was going to pay out in any claim. I'm sure there could be pit falls and I would end up with more trouble (and expense) than it was worth.
I just wish there was some coverage I could obtain where I could continue to use the car for whatever pleasure driving purposes I desired, but have some possbility of getting enough out of them to replace the car with one just as nice.
Or does anyone know an insurer that offers agreed value without any of the :bs restricitions?
Thoughts?

I have heard alot of horror stories too, of people not getting what their vehicles are worth.
I've been very lucky and I have State Farm. It matters who your insuring company
is, but also the agents make the difference. I've had Statefarm since i was 16, I'm 27 now,
and with the claims, etc... they have been more than fair with me, that's why 11 yrs later
i'm still with them. ( Knock on wood).
Good luck and hopefully you'll find a good agent/company. :yesnod:
