Default VIN question

I know I've seen the breakdown on Corvettes VIN # somewhere on this forum before but I've searched n searched and for the life of me couldnt get it.
However the question is about my 1992 vette's VIN which is as follows:
1G1YY23P0N5101865
The "0" in red is it supposed to be a Zero or a letter O? I've seen lots of VIN #s for 1992 and none have a Zero or letter O on that spot.what does that particular digit mean?

Thanks!!

My 92 FSM also indicates a check digit in that location, so zero.

All numbers, 0-9 are used in VINs.
Not all letters are used. Any letter that looks like a number is not used.

The letter "O" is never used in VINs, but the number zero is.

When in doubt, it's the number.

Thanks guys!!!
I was typing my VIN on line and kept getting "Invalid VIN" message Probably I was using the letter O instead of the #.
Thanks for the class, never thought a vin was so sophisticated.

I always wondered what made up the VIN number.
