got rid of the Vette and got me a 1993 mustang...decided the Vette wasnt for me at all..good luck to everyone and there's and thanks to EVERYONE that helped me out...all of ya'll are great people
yes so far.....the biggest thing is it can sit 4 people,so if my wifes car ever broke down on her,at least she and and the kids can still ride safely....cuz aint nobody driving my trusty ole truck
Not everyone can afford the finer things in life. That's why they make mustangs. Maybe if you worked harder and managed your money better you could afford to own & maintain a Corvette. Corvettes are a low production car so the maintenance costs reflect that. Oh.....But I don't mean to offend you.
If you want to own a mustang, go for it. But don't come on to the forum and stick your finger in everyone's eye. It's just a matter of class.
Well there you go. The mustang sound more do/able for you and your family. Be easy on the kids with those 400 plus ponys. Hope you have better luck with it than your vette. Myself I'll just keep sending the money to keep it in the best shape I can. But I'm in the position for that. Good luck and Merry Christmas.
I can understand Jamies complaint to a point. Love/Hate thing with the Corvette...Lets be honest, they can be finicky and a PITA to work on. 16+ yr old electonics and mechanicals can keep you fairly "busy", and if you have to pay someone to work on it , real broke. Love driving them, hate working on them and dealing with most crybabys you run into that own them also.
Price you pay to have that low hoodline, though.
Musclecars rock, too.
What did you buy ? I hope for your sake the 410 horsepower your talking about comes from a supercharged Cobra. If it's a regular Mustang that's been modded wait till that ****er starts to break.
thanks guys...yeah i learned the ignorance part the hard way...live and learn is what i've always heard...didnt know i stuck it to anybody's eye tho...manage my money and all....its managed...its just that i choose not to want the headache the car gives off....get mad if you like...you cant argue the point they cost a boatload to keep going.....thats all i was saying...i didnt know i would get treated like i was 10 for saying it tho

My 93 has been great but It's a toy, I only drive it when it's nice and I want to. The money pit part comes in because I want mine to go mid 11's eventually.

Tex,
i woulda guessed you know when you are being baited.
wait till his ford is out of warranty ,guess who will be forking out the cash to get it fixed.
Some people don't have brand loyalties.
to them, it's just 4 wheels "to go get the wife's broken down car" .
You don't know the quality of the car he bought and sold.
If he sold it right away, it might have been something wrong that was misdiagnosed by people that didn't understand fuel injection very well.
you don't know.
If it sold right away, it was probably a nice car with a minor problem.
as almost all the corvette problems are.
The biggest problem, is a corvette enables us to drive as if we are invincible, and we feel we can do just about anything because of the power and handling it provides.
Let him enjoy his new car. His corvette obviously wasn't new, and he compares new with used.
we will continue to be amazed and proud of our cars because our cars are a reflection of ourselves.
Enjoy, maintain, drive, show yours in good health.

How'd that radiator swap go? You know, the new one that you bought to replace the old one that had nothing wrong with it?
I guess I'm just frustrated as I and others have tried to help you yet you don't seem to listen and just give money away and throw your hands up in the air rather than help yourself. Then you blame the car for being a POS.
the radiator swap went great...yes you did help out a whole lot and i sure do appreciate it .... didnt mean to get anyone frustrated....just stating how i felt....noone else but my own opinion is all
JD...i bought a 93,heres a pic...definately not the vette as far as in handling and such i can tell ya that ...but again...thats what i choose lol
and what did coupe guy mean by "bait" ?
I like Mustangs and that one looks nice, like the Cobra wheels, I had a
two 5.0 Mustangs a 84 that had a mild 351 and a 86 with all the bolt ons. Fun cars for sure but man brother your orig. post is just asking for ****.
