Default Custom powdercoating (pics)

After getting my intake back from Lloyd Elliot, I sent it to Customs by Mike (supporting vendor ) and had it powdercoated red. I also sent him my rear C4 calipers so they would match my C5 Z06 front calipers. Here are the results:

I'm very happy with the work, and the prices were not bad at all. I will use him again.

His Corvette Forum user ID is: corvette pilot

Thanks Mike!

Wow, nice work. How much does it cost to have the intake coated?

Thanks

What are the color options? How do you prep an intake prior to coating? I have an LT4 intake that was painted or coated blue. Would you be able to strip it bare and then recoat it?

Thanks for the compliments everyone!

Color options are pretty much limitless. If you click on my signature and look in the gallery on my website you can see a wide variety of other things I have done and various colors.

This intake was fairly clean, as it had just come from porting, so a light sandblasting was all that was required. Prep depends on level of work required. I have chemical stripping, abrasive blasting, solvent cleaning and burn off capabilities in my shop.

I can strip your LT4 manifold. If its just paint, it shouldn't be a problem at all. If it was powdercoated, their might be an additional $25 charge due to the extra labor, as PC is hard to remove.

Looks good

How about L98 intake?

Any prices for plenum, runners, base, and perhaps valve covers?

Like this?

The same $100. $80 for the valve covers, plus shipping.

I have a suggestion for you. I did this on my '91 Z28 TPI and it looked cool. I wish I still had some pics.

Coat the base, plenum, and valve covers in black. Coat the runners in silver or polish them. I polished mine.

I will powder coat the plenum and runners polo white.

The Valve covers will either be Polo white or black.

If I PC the base it, will be black.

Those pice look awesome BTW.

Is the price for the wheels, each, or per set of 4?
