Default E brake 87
Will an e brake off an 89 or 90 fit on an 87 , they have plastic instead of leather, thanks Jim.

I'm not sure, but i'm going to say no. The E brake system is different on the later C4's.

I assume that you are referring to the handle assembly. The '88 and up handle uses a smaller diameter bolt to mount to the frame. The big bolt from an earlier car will not go through the small hole. The nut is welded inside the frame. It will not work. I think that the reason for the change may be for a built in self adjuster for the rear calipers.
