Default 94 C4 Electrical problems...

Slowly discovering that my car has many electrical problems. Now, the horn doesn't work and the door chimes don't work and the fob won't program into the car (new fob).

I have an extender cable I plan to attach to conveniently allow me to pull codes. Will do this today sometime.

Will doing this tell me the problem with the car? I'm hoping the problems are all connected somehow such that fixing one or the offender will fix them all. Am I being realistic in this line of thinking?

Whenever there is a cascading set of electrical problems, especially with a Vette, I would start checking grounds.

There are main grounds on both kick panels, and under the hood, there are grounds just about everywhere... particuarly under the battery... which gets corroded... and gnarly.

check grounds. I will bet many of your problems will start to go away.

Considering you live in FL (where did the car come from?), moisture - salty air - will cause all sorts of issues.

Clean the grounding points, and then hit them with lithium white grease before reassembly, this will protect from future corrosion.
