what would cause this? diff trouble

Default what would cause this? diff trouble

look at the curve in the passenger side of my batwing?

i pulled it out this morning to swap in my 373's and noticed it.
it never ends with this POS
anyone have a replacement for a dana36, preferably a heavy duty one?

Do you know the vette's history ?? Is it possible someone blew the original and replaced it with one from a wrecked vette ??
You would think there would be obvious damage to other areas if that rear is the original.

Fortunately dana 36 batwings are easy to find. Before fitting the new one to the 3:73 pig, you may want to dry fit the cover to the chassis to be sure it will line up properly.

it's not the original diff, its a 4+3 car, at some point many years back someone took out the 44 and put in the 36

If thats the case, i wouldnt hessitate to **** the DANA 36 off and get a DANA 44.
