You know what's really trippy??? They built the same number of six-speed trannys that year.

The reason they built the same number of 6 speeds is that you could only get the LT4 with a six speed and you could only get the LT1 with the automatic. There was no choice involved! If you wanted the big engine you got the six speed with it.
