I've heard of the old fuel injection on the late 50's and early 60's Corvettes referred to as a ramjet is that what you're talking about ?
I think GM sells crate engines with fuel injection they call ramet.

Here's my advice figure out what you want the car to do, more power ?
Run in the 13's 12"s and then repost asking how to build a 13 second L83 or 12 second L83 or best mods for L83.

The L83 isn't supported very well through the aftermarket if I had one I would find someone who built one that ran real strong and duplicate their set up. I'm pretty sure you can port the factory intake and use truck injectors and it will work out rather well. CFI EFI has a 13 second crossfire and I'm sure there are others. Those are the guys you need to talk to. Good luck !!

The Ramjet 350 is a crate engine available from GM, separately developed, never available in a production vehicle. It comes with it's own CPU.

The Ramjet 350 won't fit under the stock hood, and I agree your better off boosting your crossfire's power.

But here's a page on installing a Ramjet 350
