I`ve got a 95 coupe with a hatch switch on the drivers door that doesn`t work. I pulled the switch and it is working........where do I go from there? The switch under the console armrest works. Thanks in advance.............Bill
do you have an fsm? does other door switch release hatch? if so, take off trim panel in back and verfy no juice to solenoid.(its a lot easier to pull rear panel than door panel}. pull door panel and check for loose or broken wires.
If a FSM is a multimeter then I`ve got one. Should there be power at the door switch? Wouldn`t it be the same solenoid opening hatch at the rear .........the other switch does work. It looks as though I`ll have to track down where the wires go from the door.
I believe that your 95 only has a switch in the driver's side door - the previous poster was probably familiar with earlier C4s, which have a switch in both doors ...
No, I don`t have the red two book service manuals. I was just hoping to narrow my search. Is there suposed to be power at the door switch? If so is there a seperate fuse? Again the PKE button and console buttons both work.
switch should have power to it. i will check my 93 fsm if nobdy pipesin soon. i was going to suggest you try to momentarilly short switch out to reverify switch is good, but without looking in manual, you deceide. mines a vert.wifes is 88cpe. i guess they got cheap on 95, as hers has 2 door switches.
Thanks for the great info everyone. Work slows down in a week ( retired but work 2 days a week for fun money....been working 5 because another workers been sick ).
