I've seen some disasters perpetrated by people trying to chemically strip paint off fiberglass or SMP. It can get ugly.

What exactly does SMP stand for?
And what is SMC?

Captain Lees clearly states it will not harm SMC.

That may or may not be true. The different types of paints usually react differently to different strippers. Be VERY carefull Good luck.

sand paper, sanding block and a bucket of water...i stripped mine down in my garage before it was painted (also in my garage) and it came out great....start with 400 and then smooth it with 600...then get down to the really fine stuff before you paint. you'll be surprized how quickly you get through the clear coat, especially on the curves. you'll be seeing primer in no time, although all that necessary it to get the clear coat off. and use a good sanding block to avoid making waves. you'll have a whole new respect for the process when you've completed it!
