Are you obsessed?
One of my wife's sisters told her that I have a Corvette obssession. I looked it up in the Miriam Webster and is says, Function: Noun
1: a persistent disturbing preoccupation with an often unreasonable idea or feeling; broadly: compelling motivation <an obsession with profits>
2: something that causes an obsession
I don't think my love of Corvettes is disturbing or unreasonable at all!
All I have done for it is to fly to Atlanta to pick it up and drive it home, polish and clean it frequently, treat it to regular Mobil 1 and other fluid changes, built a pole barn to house it. I mean, just cause I own 30 Corvette T-shirts and plan my vacations around Bloomington Gold, Carlisle, Chevy Vette Fest, Forum Cruise In and Funfest and visit the NCM every year, does that make me obsessed?
I think the b***c should mind her own freakin bidness!
I once had a friend of my wife's say ""That is your car?" she replied...."I would never let my husband own one of those!" I had to bite my tongue and leave.

Yes it does. My last one was named Tina after Tina Turner cause she could really dance and sing and had beautiful bronze skin. My grand daughter christened the red LT4 "Red Tina".
Obsessed? I'm not sure. My Vette doesn't have a name. However, I do read something about Vettes every night before going to bed. If I have nothing new to read I will read the same worn out copy of the Corvette Black Book. I point out every Corvette I see on the road or anything Corvette related. If I ever won millions in the lottery the only thing I would want is a new Corvette. I don't know if that is obsessed, but I don't think it's unreasonable.
OK....I'll admit that I am probably obsessed. I know my wife, my kids and my brothers in law, sister in law, and most of my friends think I am.....but who cares? I like the way I am.
I wouldn't say "obsessed" but I'm really into my Vette.
However I do enjoy driving, racing, modding, repairing and looking at it...
A week or so ago I took my friend on her 1st cruize with about 30 other Vettes and, though she's not a "car person", she said she could feel the oneness that we had with our cars and with each other. Any wonder why I love this woman so...
Why do you think we love these cars so much, could it be in our genes. I wonder if any one ever done a study on this. Can you hear the doctor now...I'm sorry Ma'am your husband has vette-itis there's no cure, the good news is he'll live an almost normal life if you keep him near his vette!
I think we are the lucky ones, I have 2 and am an NCCC member. When we eloped we went to Bloomington Gold for our honeymoon. Our best friends stood up with us and we went to show that day. Life is good. I think it is the best club ever. Corvette clothes, cars, events.
Long live the Corvette Obsession!!!!!!!!!!!
And the women who understand or at least know enough to sit down be quiet and enjoy the ride!!!!!!!
