Heck, a Vette LOOKS FAST all the time. Actually 110% of the time.
These cars look fast even with a car cover on them.

What I want to accomplish is to just make mine look a little DIFFERENT from all the OTHER fast looking Vettes.
Sort of 'personalize' it kind of like having your initials monogrammed on your shirt.

I like some other Vette parts better than the ones that came on my Vette too.

That's why I have the High Polished Thin Spoke WHeels on my '91.
Got the old Z06 5 Spoke wheels on my '81.
Have a set of polished Z06 style wheels on my Z28.

If I see something that I like then I want it. Logical?
Doesn't matter to me, if "I" like it, that's what matters.

It isn't about what is done but HOW it is done. If someone has taste and is smart about it they can mod any car and make it look cool.

The problem is that most people driving the imports HAVE NO TASTE. period.

if you've got money to burn, i would go straight to the engine for "difference maker" mods right there. heads & cam package, and if you're an L98 you'll ALSO need intake and full exhaust mods as well. plus a custom chip, either way.

don't dick around with time consuming (and little return) stuff like porting your stock intake, exhaust manifold, or cheap silly bolt-ons and tab-clicks. build your engine from the inside out, take you pick on desired cid.

corvette is as much about looks as it is about performance. it's not just a pretty car, but it should be a pretty car with some real guts. imho the factory screwed the L98 buyers good, f'd us on the woefully inadequate intake (designed for a smallish 305cid) as well as ****-crap exhaust with woefully restrictive exhaust manifolds and main cat/pre-cats, just to begin.

nice wheels and/or a tasteful paintjob (only if paint needed) are great visual mods, and i'd leave it pretty much there.

take your money and load it up under the hood, where it really counts.

looking faster than you are is much worse than the other way around. why pretend, why pose? bottom line on the looks dept: the corvette needs NO help. NONE. so-called "help" actually RUINS the gorgeous OE lines. body kits are the biggest culprits.....they surely and substantively DESTROY the corvette legend. kit-trinkets detract & actually floor the value of the car. kits are for kids. stay mature --- keep the exterior in stock form.

good luck.

Just a word of advice, "blue" headlight bulbs actually hurt your eyes' night-vision ability. So with blueish headlights, while you may feel as though you're actually helping yourself see better, most blue-toned bulb supply a wavelength of light that diminishes your ability to see well in the dark. My suggestion? Just get sylvania extravision lights.

I DESPISE meeting cars with those BLUE headlights.
That color tears MY eyes up.

Even when they pull up behind you the blue light in my rear views is horrible.
Head on at night is even worse. Can't see a DARN thing for 3~4 seconds after I pass by them.
Makes me want to get out with a hammer, bust the danged things out then tell the driver "There, now you can see as well as I can after being blasted by your DANGED blue headlights".
I believe one day I'm going to crack and do that. Hope not but they aggravate the heck out'ta me.

PRINCESS sticker??? What's THAT?
Hmmmm... Where you get them stickers from?
How much HP do they add?

I guess a princess sticker will add as much hp as the disco ball, hard to choose which one to get first? Anyone know?

Neon lights now im told they are da bomb because they heat up the ground and make the tyres grip better and faster and lifts the car off the ground a bit like water in a pool and makes it lighter and makes it go waaay faster oooh and a giant fan on the back too, wiked!

No but seriously guys Im glad to see the vast majority of us have taste and are here to steer the young and confused in the right direction. (Im young too but im not confused, well not now that ive decided to get a corvette)

Corvettes dont need to look fast, they are. Just keep in mind the words of the Immortal Zora "All Corvette are high performance car.The difference is only in degree". Wheather some ricer's will be out certain Corvette's from a stop light is irrelavent, the Corvette's performance must be taken as a whole.

Could you get me a part # or a place to buy them such as NAPA or autozone???? I have a 86. Thanks. My beams are sealed though. Midamerica has the HID bulbs with the cool blue look for 79 dollars. Is that a good deal? I am wanting to upgrade my fog lights from the tech tip section. That seems like a worthwile mod. Also get new parking lights. Mine are about shot....I think the lights would add a good look to it and improve saftey.
