Does his '86 have the iron heads (early) or Al heads (late)??
Not sure, haven't had time to get the numbers and run them to see but I know his heads have the bolts pattern around the perimeter of the valve covers (not the bolts in the middle of the valve covers) if that helps any??

We'll check into it for sure thanks alot for that hp break down which sounds pretty decent.. Im guessing that's to the crank?

He has cats now but we would love to eliminate them since it won't be driven much at all and we'd like to have the hp increase of not having them but we're unsure if we delete them would this cause a error code or something?

Could you explain more on "cut-back spark plugs".. are you talking about using smaller or larger gapping?
anybody running a different chip? I've seen a few stage 1 or 2 chips for sale somewhere I can't remember where but they claimed to be a 20hp increase but with my experience off the shelf chips tend to suck.. im not sure with these cars so anybody have any suggestions on what to look for to run mostly stock with the few bolt ons listed in this thread?
