Every since I was a kid I've wanted a Convertible Corvette. I had bought a 1985 Ford Mustang GT new in the winter of 84. Hoping that this would stop the need for the vette, but it never did! So a year ago I sold the Mustang GT on Ebay and have been saving money for a convertible vette one day. Well about a month ago I found my dream car...A 1991 Red on Red Convertible Corvette!!! This car is so fun to drive!!! My wife and I (and our Weener Dog) love to put the top down and ride all day!!! We cant hardly wait till spring!!!
Corvette...We're hear to stay!!!!

Congratulations. I'll bet you do a few of these moves:
1. The "look back". This is where you park the car when you go shopping and then look back at it before you enter the store.
2. The "Corvette Park". You park at the far end of the lot taking up 3 spaces crossways.
3. The "wave". You better know this one - wave any time you see another Vette on the road.
4. The "Mastercard Mangle". This is when you see Corvette accessories in Ecklers, Corvette Central, Mid America's catalogs and run that balance up to the max.

Your story is so similar to many of ours, so we can certainly empathize with you!
Welcome to the group. You'll find that we are just like any other family; supportive and close, but quick to point out any errors!!
(Your only error so far is allowing a dog in your Corvette. )

Congrats!!!! If you're like me, you won't be able to stay out of your new toy.
As far as those "moves":
1. Yep. It's not limited to stores, either.
2. Not to that degree. I do park at the end of the row, but I like to utilize some of the yellow-striped area, as well.
3. I always do it. Not happy when recipients don't.
4. A true test of intestinal fortitude. I've been able to resist, so far. Spring will be the hardest time, I suspect.

Don't forget the 'Big Window Smile'. That's the one where you come up on a big window, slow down, and smile as you see yourself go by...
Congrats on the car and welcome to the boards. Larry
