I got the Mid America kit and gave it to my mechanic. He tried to do the procedure (followed directions)and it ended up being higher than before the install. Yeah, I know. Especially the front. Can anyone shed more light on what really works to make this a successful task? This has been expensive and unrewarding so far.
How long has the car been back down on the ground?
When I lowered mine it seemed higher until I drove it around and gave it time to settle.
If you have driven it around and it has been a couple of days I don't know what to say other than he didn't do it right.
I shave about a 1/4 inch off the wedges before the install. I was happy with the results. Click on my photos to see the results of the lowering job. Were the LCA bolts left un-torque to take the car out to settle the suspension? If they were torque while the front end was up in the air then this could be associated with the taller height in the front. The bolts should be torque with the suspension settled and with the car on the ground. I was only able to tighten down the front LCA bolts and once the vette was on the alignment rack I was able to torque the rear LCA bolts. Without knowing how your mechanic performed the install, which is a good question to ask your mechanic. Good luck

Plus the old control arm bushings can sieze up, this will tend to hold it at the previous ride height. Mine dropped more after replaceing the bushings.
