Default 87 interior colour question

G'day, just got a quick question, i think ive read somewhere that the 87 model Vettes did not have Black as a colour option, but instead had grey. just wondering, where the seat belts, seats and dash plastics/rubbers grey also? or were the black?
i ask because my 87 interior has been re-done in black (everything is black) and im trying to figure out what has been replaced and what is original.
also, my seat belts are black, so does this mean that my seatbelts have had the 'safety re-call' done to them??
any help is appreciated

`87 had Graphite available. A very dark gray that is close enough to black in color.

It's possible that the belts were replaced under that campaign or maybe the prior owner had replaced them when the interior color was changed. If your car was originally red, only graphite, red and saddle were the interior color choices.

Do you still have the RPO sticker under the center console lid? There will be a RPO code for the interior color.

Here are the 87 interior options:

Code 12C Base cloth, graphite
15C Base Cloth, medium gray
21C Base cloth, blue
62C Base cloth, saddle
65C Base cloth, bronze
122 Base leather, graphite
152 Base leather, medium gray
212 Base leather, blue
622 Base leather, saddle
652 Base leather, bronze
732 Base leather, red
122 Sport leather, graphite
152 Sport leather, medium gray
212 Sport leather, blue
622 Sport leather, saddle
652 Sport leather, bronze
732 Sport leather, red

I think the belts matched the color of the seats. You should find a sticker on the driver's door with your car's exterior and interior codes listed.
Your exterior paint code should be 81 Bright Red of which 8,285 Coupes were painted and was the most popular color that year.

thanks people, ive got my build sheet (a days worth of painfully scrapping it off the tank) the cars interior was originally red i assume that the dash would still have been this graphite colour as designo614 ?(nice car by the way, that thread you had is what got me thinking)
my car is definitely more darker (black) than designo614 around the cup holder/pwindow control area and the bread loaf too

The interior color choices were for the fabric materials (carpet, seats, and door panels) only. All of the interior plastic parts were black regardless of the interior color choice.

The bread box and dash pad had more of a graphite color to them compared to the black of the plastic pieces.
