Sometimes I like to upshift, especially on the 1-2 but try to limit the 4-3 downshifts to minimize wear on the 3-4 clutches.
Anyway, if you really enjoy the manual shifting, go for it and then have the eventual rebuild done with hardened parts by a good speed shop...enjoy your Vette...

Thanks for the responses. I don't manually shift mine as the manual does not recommend it. I did with the Infiniti J30 I drove for several years. I was just curious what other auto drivers of the car did.

I do! After I had the trany rebuilt with performance parts and a 2200 stall converter it's fun to crank it up in first and shift to second. Some time I can get rubber if I hit it right! Down shifting is fun to. I like the rumble as it slows down, make people look.
