Automatic shift dial indicator

Hi , I've been wondering if anyone has a fix or preferably a source for a new dial indicator. This part is discontinued at GM. Aftermarket dials are available for 84 - 89 models, but not for 90 - 96 models. Mine is a 94 auto. Thanks for any reply's. Earl.

I thought I saw them on Ebay the other night. One thing I have found is look up the parts on ebay and then visit their ebay store because it always has more parts then the lisiting.

i have a 92 and when the sun hits the dash i can see a up shift light. is it saposed to work, or was it an option?

if you are dirving in d (third gear) above 45 mph at a steady speed, ie 60mph on freeway with cruse, the light will come on so you can be reminded to shift to overdrive for fuel econ.

, but it doesnt work like the later model chevy's that let you know when to shift for maximum fuel eficiency in all gears?

If yours is broken then used parts will save the day. If it just looks cruddy then the "clean-up" tip will work fine. Once you take the center console apart you will easily see how you can fix it.

Hi, No the indicator on my console is just pitted and scratch marks. I've had the console apart several times and have tried to clean it up, but will try Joe C's idea about plastic polish , but I think it is to badly discoloured. Thanks again guy's. Earl.
