starting issues

My 84, will start nine times out of ten and then will not start. This is usually when the engine is warm. I will shoot some ether in throttle body, where injectors are and it starts right up. I have replaced injectors, starter, dist, wires etc. Any ideas?? Thanks for your help.

Is it cranking but not starting??
If so,might be the crank sensor.

It cranks, but injectors are not putting fuel to carbs. I spray ether and it starts right up??

No clue,then.sorry.I know if it cranks but doesn't start,the sensor is bad.
Could it be the fuel pump??If the fuel pump is bad or going bad,it'll crap out occasionally till it dies all together.

Sounds like a fuel delivery problem. Either the fuel pump is going bad or it's a relay. Have you changed the fuel filter? Were the new injectors installed properly?

One more thing to check:

On a 1984, if the oil pressure switch is inop or there really is low pressure will that kill the fuel pump relay?

Fuel filter has been replaced and injectors made a subtle improvement in performance.

well,if it craps out all together,i'd say look at the fuel pump.If you have any back issues of vette magazine or corvette fever,I think they went over this very issue a while ago.
