Time for a moldy oldy: No emoticon exists to express my feelings at this time.
I guess you missed the coverage of the 24 hours of Daytona... or the F1 races... or ALMS...
Thought the show was excellent! Considering its a British show and they were complementing Americas favorite sports car that makes it a plus in my book! The focus was one the C1 and C2 generations. I hope they have another Last Stingray marathon soon. I would like to record that!

it's not a British show. Alain de Cadenet (sp?) is a former race driver who works for Speed. The show is produced both here and abroad. They use locations that fit the car and nature of the story.
keep an eye out for the VBD special called "The Making of VBD." It's well worth the watch. It's also why each episode costs a million bucks to produce - they bring the cars to the locales, not the otherway around. Sure, some are from European collectors, others are not, but they bring the cars where they need them. Be it California, Switzerland, Italy or the mountains of PA...
I enjoyed the special. Seeing the racing cars at speed was great. I have seen many VBD shows and I thought that it was interesting how all of the Corvette engines tended to sound the same. I didn't get that feeling from other makers.
On the subject of Speed Channel's content, They did change from it's early format to a very heavy tilt toward NASCAR. I'm not so much a fan of NASCAR so I don't like SC the way I used to. However the point is well taken that they still do throw in other content as well, just not as often as they used to a few years back.
The Speed Channel has WAY too much freaking racing for me. You either love that or hate it. I always scroll thru the programming when watching SC to see if there are any Corvette shows coming on. I'd rather watch 2 Guys in a Garage, Car Crazy, and Pinks is OK if there's nothing else on. Does anybody watch that (non NASCAR) racing crap?
There was a C6 Test Drive that was on about 6 months ago where Jeff Gordon was in it that was pretty good. The Ferrari shows are cool too. I can watch the Daytona 500 (the last 10 laps) but that's about it.
When does Victory by Design (Corvette) come back on Speed Channel?
From: No more yankee my wankee, the Donger is tired!

Um, I guess you don't like American LeMans, watching the Corvettes beat AM. Or watching Daytona with the Corvettes in the GT class.
Watching the Rally racing is actually pretty interesting as well. It's the other crap that gets in the way. Nascrap, Pinks and Whips.
