Default jet power comtrol module or hypertech programmer

I have a 95 LT-1 with a 6 speed and was thinking about a jet power control module or a hypertech programmer. Does anyone have any experience with either good or bad? Thanks for any info Ron

I dont have any experience with them because when I was thinking about getting one I did some research on here and the general consensus was that they both slow you down and/or make your car run like a 77 chevette

There is one that people swear by but I cant remember who it is

Nevermind just remembered its PCMforless
I believe is a supporting vendor here also

I guess I'm one of the few, but several years ago I put a Hypertech Programmer 2 on my 94 A4 coupe and it DID make a difference. I have no proof of HP gains but it feels different and sounds different at higher rpm. It definitely changed and firmed up the shift points.

That being said, I have since put the PCMforless chip in my 93 A4 vert and it too made a noticeable difference.

If I had it all to do over again I would probably ship my 94's unit to PCMforless for a more customized tune.
