The Wave Is Dead!
Ive just moved to Kentucky, so ive not had any experiences with ride waving. I just see all those damn nostril nose T/A's. I too have mistaken them for vettes from far off.
Befroe being a vette owner, I had no idea about the "ride waving" for the corvette clan. I was heavily into the lowrider crowd, where waving is in the culture as well. My friend bought a 86 vette, and he actually let me drive it for 6 months, when he bought a new Z28. So I started noticing local vette owners waving at me. Eventually, my friend got tired of his Z28 and wanted his vette back, I went out that same day and bought a 92 Purple vert! Now, almost 5 years later, I have HIS vette now! Gawd, what kind of a monster did my friend turn me into?
Now I madly wave at all vette owners...Even if I dont get a wave in return, Lets just say I was waving at the CAR, and not the owner. snoopdan

It talks about why the wave started and the different styles of waving.
For the record, I ALWAYS wave regardless of the response.
