My left rear tire make a weird sound when I first take off and at idle speed. when it warms up it seems to go away partially. I also feel a slight wheel shimmy. The guy I bought the car from said that it started after a brake job was done so i inspected everything and see nothing wrong untill i started the car while on jack stands and lightly applied the brakes. The whole caliper moves. I have video taped it and posted it on livevideo
Is the weird sound a clicking noise?
Then it is a washer behind the bearing assembly
Part #14076924 from GM, Should be about $7
Easy fix
If not clicking then can you describe it better?
Ps Didnt see your video but the caliper is supposed to move
Floating caliper
Just saw video and it actually looks pretty good Maybe a slight rotor warp
If it doesnt wobble when looking straight down and the brake is not applied then it is not warped
Dont you live in Fla? Where you can clean up your car year round

it sounds like rubber rubbing. At first I thought the tire was rubbing against something but there is no marks anywhere. very much like rubbing your thumb against a balloon. I may try and make a audio track of it. No noise when car is jacked up and running, and yes the whole hub moves slightly. A friend suggested I spray lubricant on the bushings one by one untill noise disappears and when I find the underlying cause and fix it, then replace that bushing as well. I should actually replace all the bushings I suppose. Maybe sunny here in Fla, but lately been to chilly to steam clean everything. I haven't had the car a month yet, just trying to get the kinks out. guess I will move on to next problem untill I have time to take to Darby over in St. Pete.
BTW
I am betting on the wheel bearing. The u-joint looks pretty good and seems true and straight in the socket, I will let you know when I find out. Now onto the lazy headlight, bad ground, and small crack in hood (underside) {actually large crack, weaking at the support causing a flexing action on hood face}

I once had a Buick Regal with a rubbing sound from the right rear wheel. Mostly when the weather was very damp or after a rain. Replaced most of the bushings$$$$$$. Noise persisted.
Then when changing brakes, noticed a bright spot on the parking brake cable protector (a rubber sleeve) where it passed through a bracket. Yanked on the parking brake cable and sure enough, a rubber rubbing sound.
Tied it up with a wire tie and the rubbing noise was gone, even in damp weather!
Look for some cables rubbing too.
Hope this helps.
