help please
my 93 upon starting runs like crap whether the engine is hot or cold,when i put it in drive and start to drive i hear a winding noise coming from behind me,it lasts for about 2 seconds and the car then runs fine,today i left the driveway and the winding noise started but kept going until the engine cut out so i had some help to push it back into the driveway and it started straight away,is this noise the fuel pump or could it be something else??

the noise from behind you is the abs cycling...it is supposed to do this every time you start the car and then hit 2 or 3 mph. the runing rough could be many things, your were too vague in your post. miles, maint. history, mods etc.

the car has 118,000 miles,it was originally a coupe but at some point it was changed into a convertible,i do not know why,i got it cheap,i have no maintanence records,it does not make the noise when i start it,only when i start driving,it smells like it is running rich and misfires when i start it,but only for a couple of minutes,the dash is flashing system,sometime i will start it and it idles at about 2000 rpm but does not misfire
